Rescue 2 have been busy recently providing Confined Space Rescue cover for workers at Reading Treatment Works.
Three Rescue 2 Technicians provided rescue cover for contractors cleaning out raw sludge from a holding tank. Access was through a side entry hatch. As Confined Space entry risks go, it was a fairly straightforward rescue plan, but VERY smelly!
Contractors were using water jets and vacuum hoses to remove sludge from the holding tanks.
