Our fire safety courses provide trainees with a range of competencies. We offer everything from simple awareness training through to fire safety management in the workplace. Our courses are bespoke, and we tailor them for your specific working environment, industry, risks and people.

We also offer technical fire safety support, fire safety policy, risk assessments and audits, extinguisher supply and maintenance. Our trainers also provide many other fire safety related services.  These services are supported by our team of technical fire safety specialists.

Our trainers and consultants all have front line experience in the fire and rescue service. Many of them have held the responsibility of a command role. Their real life experience is supported by a wide range of practical and technical fire safety qualifications.

    Who is this course for?

    The Evacuation Chair Training course is for anyone who may need to use or assist in the evacuation of persons with impaired mobility in the event of a fire or other emergency requiring the evacuation of a building using an evacuation chair.

    Aim

    To ensure that delegates have a greater knowledge and understanding of fire and emergency evacuation procedures in the workplace including the safe use of the evacuation chair to aid the evacuation of people with impaired mobility.

    Learning Outcomes

    Delegates will learn how to use an evacuation chair safely and efficiently. This course will also ensure that delegates have a better understanding of company evacuation procedures affecting mobility-impaired people along with the issues affecting those with mobility impairment.

    Delivery Method

    A combination of classroom based activity, syndicate working and Presentation/demonstrations, practical application and question and answer paper. A wide range of video and photographic material is used to enhance the learning experience for delegates.

    Assessment and Certification

    Continued assessment process with a question and answer paper leading to certification on successfully completing the course.

      Who is this course for?

      This course is for anyone working with materials or substances that can produce a heat source leading to the possibility of fire breaking out in the workplace. This includes the use of hot air guns, blow torches, welding equipment, grinders and cut off saws and other items causing a potential ignition source.

      Aim

      The hot works course is designed to give delegates an understanding of  basic fire safety in the workplace including relevant safe systems of work, method statements and permit to work procedures.

      Learning Outcomes

      On successful completion of this course, delegates will be able to set up a safe system of work including method statement and work in accordance with a hot works permit. The delegates will also understand the fire safety requirements associated with hot works and have a practical understanding of fire prevention and safe use of fire extinguishers and fire blanket in the workplace.

      Delivery Method

      A combination of classroom based activity, syndicate working and Presentation/demonstrations, practical application and question and answer paper. A wide range of video and photographic material is used to enhance the learning experience for delegates.

      Assessment and Certification

      Continued assessment process leading to certification on successfully completing the course.

        Who is this course for?

        This course is aimed at anyone who has the role of Fire Marshal and is responsible in whole or part for the safe evacuation of workplace colleagues and others including day to day workplace Fire prevention . This includes the role of Emergency Evacuation Coordinator for emergencies such as bomb threat, terrorism, natural disasters and other emergencies.

        Aim

        This course is designed to meet the requirements of the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 and incorporated company specific fire safety policies and procedures and prepare for the role of the Emergency Evacuation Coordinator.

        Learning Outcomes

        To enable delegates to understand and effectively comply with the relevant legislation and regulations associated with basic fire safety awareness in the workplace including the duties and role of the Fire Marshal and understand the role of the Emergency Evacuation Coordinator in emergency situations other that fire. This includes:

The course also covers good home fire safety advice including bedtime routines and fire evacuation planning.
