First Aid

First aid training is more than just a legal workplace requirement – it is a valuable life skill you can offer employees.  We are equipped to provide you with training ranging from basic first aid skills through to major incident management.

The Health and Safety (First-Aid) Regulations 1981 require employers to provide adequate and appropriate equipment, facilities and personnel to ensure their employees receive immediate attention if they are injured or taken ill at work. These regulations apply to all workplaces including those with less than five employees and the self-employed.

No matter what level of training you opt for, you benefit from the knowledge and immense experience of our first aid training team. They have worked within the emergency services and in roles that have demanded that they make critical on-the-spot decisions. They have dealt with all types of medical emergencies, from work place injuries and traffic accidents, to conditions such as hypothermia and dehydration while working as part of remote emergency response teams in major international disasters.

Besides providing basic first aid training, we provide training that covers all levels of first aid skill and responsibility, up to major incident management.

Our courses are practical and use the most modern equipment, supporting a valuable learning experience in a fun environment.  We also offer a full first aid consultation service, advising on training and equipment, and supplying equipment ranging from basic first aid kits to defibrillators.

Our first aid moto is “Do the Basics well”. All first aid and emergency medical training starts with the basics, whether you are a First Aider in the workplace or a trauma doctor. Basics are lifesaving skills.

The aim of the qualification is to enable delegates to attain the knowledge and competencies needed to deal with emergency first aid situations which can arise when looking after children. This will include the practical administration of safe, prompt, effective first aid in emergency situations.

Continued assessment process leading to a Level 3 certification of achievement – Qualsafe Awards.

The QA Level 3 Award in Paediatric Emergency First Aid (RQF) is valid for a period of 3 years, within which time the learner will need to re-take the course and the assessment in order to remain qualified.  It is regarded as best practice for those holding first aid qualifications to undertake annual refresher training, this does not however form part of a RQF unit or qualification.
