      Our EUSR Manual Handling assessment based course allows us to introduce safe practices in the workplace. Delegates will be aware of the principles behind safe manual handling of loads. To lift and carry loads within their capacity using aids and assistance as required.

      Delegates will learn how to state the parts of the body at risk of injury when lifting incorrectly and the injuries that may occur as a result. They will be able to demonstrate the techniques that can be applied to the manual handling of loads in order to achieve economy of effort and observe the improvements in their manual handling skills.

          Who is this course for?

          This course is designed for anyone who works at height. This includes working immediately above ground level and also includes working processes that can lead to workers falling into something, even from ground level such as a tank or vessel, or over an edge.

          Aim

          The aim of this course is to make delegates aware of the need to:

          • Properly plan and organise work at height
          • Ensure those working at height are competent
          • Understand the need carry out risk assessments and select the appropriate work equipment
          • Control the risks from fragile surfaces
          • Properly inspect and maintain equipment for working at height

              This course is for anyone working with materials or substances that can produce a heat source leading to the possibility of fire breaking out in the workplace. This includes the use of hot air guns, blow torches, welding equipment, grinders and cut off saws and other items causing a potential ignition source.

              Aim

              The hot works course is designed to give delegates an understanding of  basic fire safety in the workplace including relevant safe systems of work, method statements and permit to work procedures.

              Learning Outcomes

              On successful completion of this course, delegates will be able to set up a safe system of work including method statement and work in accordance with a hot works permit.                 This course is designed to meet the requirements of the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 and incorporated company specific fire safety policies and procedures and prepare for the role of the Emergency Evacuation Coordinator.
